Can Tiger and Phil Reconcile?
I have been watching golf long before Tiger came on the scene, yet I can hardly remember what it was like to watch without him. No worries. We have Phil, right? What? We don’t have Phil either? I am not ready for this. Say it isn’t so. Well, maybe it isn’t over. Maybe they can rekindle their romance with us this week. In case you haven’t heard Tiger and Phil are both set to play the WGC Bridgestone Invitational this week. It almost feels like a major. Let’s dream for a bit. Can you imagine if both Phil and Tiger showed up this week in top form? Play well enough Saturday to play in the final group together on Sunday? It could be one of the greatest sports moments in recent memory. Ok, let’s wake up now. The likely result is that they will both play well enough to make the cut. Stay close enough to the lead to tease us to watch on Sunday. Then fizzle out. I guess a guy can dream, right?
